Our sweet, strong, smart girl has turned 5!! Alice loves when we read or tell her stories, likes music and singing, enjoyed every day of school, treats her dolls like family, often plays well with her brother, loves to wear dresses and tell me to "accessorize", swims like a fish, rides her bike without training wheels, sucks her thumb, climbs our magnolia tree, loves Bible stories, makes cards to celebrate things, is fearless at her little gymnastics class, and is a sweet friend to people she cares about.
We had a Little House in the Big Woods themed birthday party with 8 friends. Alice was decked out in a calico dress from her cousins, apron from her great-great-grandmother, bonnet from Williamsburg, and petticoat from her grandmother. Look for some of the activities below: button necklaces, story time, outside playing, pretzel log cabin making, lunch and shaking (blurry pic!) cream into butter. "It was really fun", said Alice. We made each guest a calico apron to take home.
