Happy Halloween from San Francisco --with a special treat

 

It's not even Halloween and we're having all sorts of fun in San Francisco with my brother Will and his family. We've been to school performances for Spiderman (William), T-Rex (JEB), and Little Red Riding Hood (Annie). Tomorrow should be lots of fun too if the rain stays away. Babies Alice and Henry will appear as themselves tomorrow :)

Mark gave us a great treat for the weekend. He CAME to San Francisco!!!!! We're so glad to have him with us. We'll have more to report after we return. For now, enjoy the pictures:

Alice and I are taking an early flight tomorrow to meet cousin Henry and hang out with brother Will & his family. We're excited to spend a fun Halloween weekend in San Francisco. Hopefully Mark and Jackson can enjoy quiet nights and late mornings while we're away. We'll miss them!

Liz comes to town

My great friend Liz came to visit last weekend and meet Alice. It's great to see someone love our girl so much, she deserves honorary aunt status for sure. Alice had a rough night while Liz was here and Liz was more patient with us than we deserved during the tired day that followed. If only Nashville was a little closer. .  .Thanks for coming!!

Visitors for Columbus Day break

John, Elizabeth, Virginia and William took their first flight as a family to visit us for their Fall Break this Columbus Day weekend. What a treat!! Alice was adored by her cousins. Elizabeth knows DC well and did a better job than we could navigating fun sites and adding to our list of cool places to see in the future.

Katie and Jon were SO kind to come visit us from Boston this weekend. We enjoyed Mount Vernon and wandering through Savage Mills on Saturday. Saturday night another Boston couple drove from their new home in Delaware and joined us for dinner and the card game Pinochle. Sunday they took us to a great Baltimore neighborhood which makes me excited to explore Cantonville and Fells Point again. I am terrible at the card game but it's such a treat to have friends who know us and love us come enjoy our new home.
