Sawyer's First Birthday

Our birthday boy celebrated tonight with banana pudding and it was a big success.

Sawyer's first year was eventful. He babbles "mama"; crawls so fast; loves blocks, instruments, anything with buttons; stands alone and moves along furniture; is a light sleeper; and still has a way to go before eating like a little person. We love him and look forward to more fun together and all the new physical, verbal and mental developments in the coming year.

Dessert Party -- Girls in Gowns

Mandy, Michelle,  Alison, Emalee, Laura, Kate

 I've uncovered all sorts of things during our move and decided to create a fun excuse to use my fine china and an old bridesmaids dress. Last night some friends from church came over in their old bridesmaids/formal dresses (circa 1998 - 2011) and we had a dessert party after the kids were in bed. Stories about life and our first time wearing the dress filled the evening. I'm recovering now after our late night with a cup of coffee in hand. Well worth it for the fun!
