We drove out to Tanglewood this Saturday evening to see the live performance of a 'Prairie Home Companion.' This show is broadcast live on public radio stations across the country and parts of the world and is a show modeled after the old radio shows of our grandparents age. So as you can guess the average age of the audience was probably over 50 and maybe 60. Emalee has followed this show for most of her life. So she was excited to see the performance but disappointed when Garrison walked across the lawn right in front of our blanket while she was off getting food. You can see the pictures to see Mr. Keillor........he is the tall man in the black suit and red sneakers and a tie with a microphone.
I should also explain that Tanglewood is a 2 hour drive west from Boston. It is actually closer to Albany, NY than Boston and it is located in the Berkshire Mountains which is the area of the Appalachian Mountains that cross through Massachusetts. Tanglewood is an old open air shed that the Boston Symphony plays at in the summer. It is located in Lenox, MA.
